The Wyoming Highway Patrol Association is a group dedicated to improving the lives of workers to improve Wyoming highway surveillance and safety, and is participating in an initiative to integrate Bitcoin into its financial strategy.
The plan is part of the Get Off Zero initiative, an organization that provides Bitcoin education to trade unions and pension funds, among other groups.
“This is very cool,” said Wyoming Sen. Cynthia Ramis, a prominent Pro Bitcoin senator who has been contributing to the important crypto industry campaign. “The goal is to help Americans access the tools to realize and protect the full value of effort, blood, sweat and tears.”
“I love seeing Wyoming people protect us as they are protected by Bitcoin,” she added. “It’s freedom-focused innovation.”
The association did not provide specific details about strategies or goals using Bitcoin. “We’re looking forward to seeing you in the world,” said Austin Brumel, vice president of the Wyoming Highway Patrol Association.
“Bitcoin continues to protect the time and energy of those who protect us,” added Dom Bey, founder of Employee Proof. “Like the chaotic and unpredictable emergencies, Bitcoin remains a reliable and stable long-term tool for workers and wage earners within the fiat-based financial system.”
Last month, Wyoming also introduced a proposal for a strategic Bitcoin Reserve that will invest up to 3% of state funds in world-leading cryptocurrencies.
Last summer, Wyoming’s Ramis announced the Bitcoin Act to establish a Bitcoin Reserve through Congress.
Other jurisdictions around the world are also considering potential Bitcoin reserves. Recently, the head of the Czech Republic’s central bank discussed the idea, but at least one proposed bill in Brazil aims to diversify the Ministry of Finance by adding Bitcoin.
Polymate, a forecast market platform, bettors estimate that there is only a 12% chance that Trump will establish a Bitcoin Reserve in the US in the first 100 days.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol Association did not respond to TheStreet Crypto’s request for comment.
