
On Sunday, Hollywood’s brightest stars made their final sprint on Oscar night.
The Guild Awards for Screen Actors marked the final major awards show before next week’s Academy Awards, placing the bow in a very unpredictable year. Papulse Riller’s “Conclave” was made with the top trophies of the night for the outstanding cast (equivalent to the sag equivalent of the best picture). Sweeps in the acting category.
Despite some moving speeches and shocking motivations, the SAG Awards have little impact on next weekend’s winners (Oscar votes wrapped almost a week ago), but at least the actor’s Loyalty gives you a sense of where to go on the biggest night in the film industry.
This was a confusing ceremony worthy of the Topsitter Bee season, plagued by multiple healthy issues and actors stumbling over the script for Teleprompter. However, there was also a time when we really saw the mini reunion of the cast of “New Girl,” “Good Place,” and the cast of “Gossip Girl.”
