Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, supported Michael Saylor’s Bitcoin forecast on November 20, 2024, claiming that Bitcoin could reach $13 million per coin.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kiyosaki stated, “$13 million Bitcoin:… I hope you’re welcome to Michael Saylor. I think he’s right. He’s one clever boy.”
He compared the possibilities of Bitcoin to traditional education costs, saying, “Today, Bitcoin is $90,000. If Saylor is on the target…”
His statement follows discussions between Saylor and Patrick Bet-David, who questioned MicroStrategy’s long-term evaluation, and has now been rebranded as a strategy. Bet-David’s calculations suggest that if Bitcoin reaches $13 million, MicroStrategy could grow into a $10 trillion company within 20 years.
Saylor defended predictions and explained the mathematics behind it.
“Dividing 13 (million) by 90,000 and that will lead you to a big number,” he said on November 19, 2024. He claims that demand would increase significantly if Bitcoin adoption rates increased from 0.1% today to 7% worldwide, leading to a massive price surge. Given that Bitcoin has a fixed 21 million coins, such a recruitment level can raise the price to millions per coin.
If Bitcoin reaches $13 million, owning 0.01 BTC today for $9,000 is worth $130,000 in the future.
Kiyosaki also criticized student debt and argued that investment in Bitcoin could be a smarter financial decision than taking out a loan for an MBA.
“It certainly puts a $50,000 burden on student loan debt… I’ve been studying for years…just to win a flimsy MBA.
Contrasing Bitcoin’s potential and its Master’s Degree (MBA) in Business Administration, Kiyosaki argued that investment in Bitcoin could lead to much greater returns without debt. The average cost of an MBA at top US universities ranges from $50,000 to $200,000. At Harvard Business School, tuition costs $84,000 a year, totaling around $168,000 over two years. Stanford’s MBA program costs $82,000 a year and costs similar overall. Many graduates leave school on student debts of between $66,000 and $120,000, with no guaranteed investment returns.
Instead of undertaking a massive student loan for a degree that could lead to financial success, Kiyosaki invests in 0.01 BTC for today’s $9,000, making it a smarter financial decision in the long run. I suggested that it could be.
Bitcoin has already risen 87% over the past year, but it will require a change in global finance to reach $13 million. Saylor’s forecast assumes that Bitcoin will experience widespread institutional adoption, hyperinflation in Fiat currency, and increased demand due to its shortage.
