The Philadelphia Eagles host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday as the divisional round of the NFL playoffs continues.
Philadelphia defeated the Green Bay Packers 22-10 in the Wild Card Round, and Los Angeles defeated the Minnesota Vikings 27-9 in the final game of the NFL Wild Card Round.
The Eagles entered the postseason as the second seed and the Rams as the third seed. Therefore, this game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
The Rams are looking to pull off a major upset on the road and have the firepower to keep pace with the Eagles offensively with Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams. However, according to FTN, Philadelphia has the top DVOA defense and faces a difficult task this weekend.
The Eagles’ defense was also on display when they held the Packers to a 10-point lead and forced four turnovers in the Wild Card victory. Philadelphia’s offense is able to control the tempo of the game behind an outstanding offensive line and Saquon Barkley. The star running back set a career-high with 255 yards in Week 12 against the Rams.

Rams make it 4-1 and create a goal-to-goal chance.
The Rams responded to the Eagles’ lead drive with a powerful drive of their own. Los Angeles faced a third-and-6 inside Philadelphia’s 20-yard line, but Matthew Stafford scrambled short of a first down.
Sean McVay decided to do just that. Kyren Williams punched the ball over the line and set up the opening goal.
Sean McVay disputes no-catch ruling, Tyler Higbee gets credit for first down
The Rams appeared to go three-and-out on their first drive of the game after Matthew Stafford threw a pass to Higbee, but the pass appeared to bounce. However, upon further consideration, the ball bounced off Higbee’s arm instead of off the ground, allowing him to wind it up at the tight end for a first down.
McVay had to contest the play to overturn the call, but McVay won. This allowed Los Angeles’ initial offensive push to continue.
Jalen Hurts leads the way with a 44-yard touchdown drive.
The Rams were crushed by Saquon Barkley in their last matchup against the Eagles. Hearts got off to a good start looking to do the same in the play-off meeting.
Hearts made a counter run to the right, and the Rams could be seen rushing after Barkley in an attempt to corner him. As a result, Hurts had to break one tackle to dive into the end zone to score the first point of the game.
The bad news for the Eagles? Jake Elliott missed the extra point, and Philadelphia’s lead remained at 6-0.
What college did Jalen Hurts attend?
Hurts attended school at Alabama and then transferred to Oklahoma, where he finished his career in the Lincoln Riley offense. That’s why the Eagles quarterback said “roll Sooners” in the lineup intro against the Rams.

Jared Verse arrives, much to boos from Eagles fans
Rams defensive end Jared Verse had some choice words for the Eagles faithful earlier in the week. To his credit, Verse arrived at Lincoln Financial Field and soaked in the gruff greetings of the home fans in attendance.
What did Jared Verse say about Eagles fans?
The Rams rookie never expressed his feelings for the Philadelphia faithful in words.
“I hate Eagles fans,” Vaas told the Los Angeles Times on Thursday. “They’re so annoying. I hate Eagles fans.”
Eagles running back Saquon Barkley told reporters that Verse’s comments were “probably not the wisest thing to say coming to Philadelphia.”
