Payments Network MoneyGram has announced MoneyGram Ramps, an API aimed at promoting cash-to-crypto and intercrypto services through a single integration.
The initiative is designed to connect digital wallets, exchanges, and fintech applications to MoneyGram’s global cash network, allowing encryption/lamp functionality to be incorporated at a global scale.
This API allows developers to make cash deposits in over 30 countries through MoneyGram’s network, and cash withdrawals in over 170 countries.
MoneyGram Ramps aims to streamline the integration process and reduce deployment time from months to months.
The previously 15 days of sandbox environment setup can now be completed in about 5 minutes.
The API, along with the Software Development Kit (SDKS), provides instant certification, sandbox access and thorough documentation, all accessible from developer.moneygram.com.
With MoneyGram’s international network, leveraging the star blockchain and Circle’s USDC, MoneyGram Ramps acts as a conduit between physical and digital currencies.
“With this launch, Moneygram is quickly becoming a connective organisation between traditional finance and the digital economy. We remove complexity from integration and open the door to a seamless connection to digital wallets with the world’s largest cash.”
“Our vision is a world without financial boundaries. So our focus is on building simple, powerful tools to remove barriers to the global economy and level the arena for everyone.”
This development takes place immediately after the implementation of MoneyGram and MasterCard Move with MasterCard. It focuses on strengthening the digital movement of money within the US and across borders.
“MoneyGram introduces an API to easily bridge cash and Crypto” was originally created and published by Electronic Payments International, a brand owned by GlobalData.
