Miami quarterback, Heisman Trophy finalist and No. 1 overall pick candidate, Come Ward, is considering getting the tape to speak.
Reports say Ward is the current bet favorite, the first pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, but it is still unclear whether he will throw it in the 2025 NFL Combine. As one of the top two quarterback prospects in the draft class, Ward isn’t much gained from throwing unpadded to receivers who aren’t doing their job in front of Indy’s scouts.
Another top quarterback in the class, Colorado Outlook Shedale Sanders has already declared he plans to skip drills at the combine. Instead, Sanders focuses on an interview in Indianapolis.

Is Camward throwing at the NFL Combine?
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported on Monday’s episode of “Good Morning Football” that it is unclear whether he will pitch at NFL Combine later this week.
The Miami product can join Sanders, who will refrain from throwing in Indianapolis, as two of the most rated quarterback prospects in this year’s draft class. Instead, Ward may have been independent before his pro day with five years of films as a starter at three different schools.
Alternatively, Ward has the opportunity to further strengthen himself as the prospect of the No. 1 quarterback in his class if he is thrown before a combined scout.
His decision will ultimately be revealed by the end of this week, with the quarterbacks scheduled to pitch on Saturday.
