According to a filing with the SEC, Intel’s EVP and Chief Commercial Officer Christoph Schell left the company two years later in the role.
Shell informed Inter of his decision to leave on Monday and resigned on June 30th “to pursue another career opportunity.”
It is not clear who will replace Shell. Greg Ernst, CVP of Intel’s sales and marketing division, will step in as intervening leader, a spokesman told TechCrunch.
“Christophe has worked tirelessly on behalf of our clients with Intel, and we are grateful for the many contributions we have made to our business,” the spokesman said. “We hope he’s the best in his next role.”
Schell, who led Intel’s sales, marketing and communications group and reported directly to the CEO’s office, joined the company in February 2022. Previously he was HP’s Chief Commercial Officer. EVP in Phillips’ growth market. Procter & Gamble brand management lead.
Schell’s departure comes as Intel undergoes a dramatic transformation under recently appointed CEO Lip-Bu Tan. The new CEO has moved the company’s division to spin into “non-core” units, selling a majority stake in the Altera Semiconductor business, flattening Tech Giant’s executive structure. He also plans to appoint a new AI chief and significantly reduce the company’s workforce.
Earlier this month, TAN announced that it will not spin off Intel Capital Corporate VC ARM as previously planned, with all employees being mandated in the office for four days (the company previously allowed hybrid and remote work).
