The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl 59 with plenty of talent. On Friday, they also celebrated the style victory.
The Eagles’ Super Bowl Parade featured a city of brotherly love that showed much affection for the newly crowned title recipient on Valentine’s Day. Quarterback Jalen Hurts was one of the people Saquon Barkley and Coach Nick Sirianni ordered the spotlight during the celebration. And the rally is the final thing for some, before offensive coordinator Kellen Moore returns to join the team and then return to his new post as the New Orleans Saints head coach. Maybe it was.
Let’s take a look back at some of the parade’s highlights.
AJ Brown makes soccer surge
Almost three years ago, AJ Brown landed in Philadelphia through trade with the Tennessee Titans.
NFL Stats Central: Latest NFL scores, schedules, odds, statistics, and more.
After ample scrutiny throughout his career, the three Pro Bowlers targeted those who criticized him.
“They said I was a diva. They said all I cared about was statistics,” Brown said. “You make all these things wrong about me, but there’s one thing you can get right: I’m the (exp verse) champion.”
Jalen Hurts takes “Rocky” action
After winning the Super Bowl MVP, Jalen Hurts was soaked up in many victories last week.
Now his title has unlocked another special moment.
“When I was drafted, I told myself I wouldn’t come to the ‘Rocky’ step until I won the championship,” Hurts said. “And now we’re here.”
Added Hurts: “The next tracking begins.”
A new “American team”?
Let’s start trolling.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro set his sights on rival Dallas Cowboys in the parade, saying team Monica had been recruited by the Eagles.
“Philadelphia is an American team,” Shapiro said. “Dallas, did you hear it?”
Howey Roseman hits
Howie Roseman, executive vice president and general manager of the Eagles, is used to dealing with the fallout from injuries, but not himself.
Roseman obviously hit a can of beer, so he was cut into his forehead.
“I bleed to this city,” exclaimed Roseman at the beginning of his brief remarks at the parade.
Saquon Barkley’s birthday present
Sakuon Bar Creelang won the Super Bowl on his 28th birthday. Now, the Eagles star running helps to give other people birthday wishes.
Berkley walked through one of the young fans celebrating her third birthday, giving her family an unforgettable moment right away.
Jason Kels sighting
Former Eagles great Jason Kels is on hand to party with his former teammates.
The sixth All-Pro Center was not part of this title run, but it didn’t take up a 3-peat effort to sibling Tight End Travis Kelce. Kelse is taking part in the celebration on Friday. .
Oops!
Eagles fans were excited for the Pick Six to cheer on cornerback Cooper Dejan, one of the more scintillation moments of the team’s Super Bowl defeat.
One issue: The player they were rooting for was not Dejan, but the safety lead Blankenship, who tried to clear an instance of false identity.
“Love hurts”
If there’s a theme for Valentine’s Day celebrations, it could be the Jordanian brand promotion “Love Hurts,” but in a good way.
The Eagles QB himself wears slogans and clothes, but the rest of the city seems to have embraced it too.
Parade’s Reverse
Josh Sweatt is one of the Eagles’ top Super Bowl performers, with two sacks of 1/2 sacks, and he’s already nodded to history and stands out in the parade.
Pass Rusher wears the fur coat that Chris wore in the team’s first Super Bowl parade after the 2017 season.
Eagles fans are on display early
Those interested in the early start time of Friday’s parade may not have seen too many Eagles fans.
By the early morning, I already had quite a fair amount of conditions on hand to incorporate the parade.
