Later this year, USA TODAY will release its first-ever ranking of the nation’s best veterinarians, and we’re asking pet owners to tell us who should be on the list and why.
USA TODAY has partnered with Statista, an independent market research and data company, to help create a list of the nation’s best veterinarians based in part on your responses.
Going to the vet can be scary and expensive, and choosing a treatment can be daunting. More Americans than ever before own pets, according to the American Veterinary Medical Association, meaning more people will have to make tough decisions about their animals’ health in the coming years.

When faced with these difficult decisions, a good local veterinarian can make things more manageable and result in better outcomes for your pet and your family.
If you would like your pet’s veterinarian to be included in our inaugural ranking list, please submit their name using our survey. USA TODAY will announce its list of 2025 Best Veterinarians on May 6, in conjunction with National Pet Week.
Survey results will be stored anonymously. However, participants agree to be contacted by USA TODAY’s editorial team.
