Google has more ways for Android users to find devices and other items. Google announced it on Tuesday at the Android show a week before Google I/O 2025. The company will become known as the “hub” as it finds my device features that allow Android users to find lost phones and other devices and finds more partners, Airline Partnerships, Airline Partnerships support.
First introduced in 2013 as an Android-based alternative to Apple’s Find My Service, Find My Device was expanded over a year ago, and introduced a crowdsourced discovery network that allows you to find your personal belongings via third-party Bluetooth trackers and tags such as Chipolo and Pebblebee.
Currently, Google is unveiling more partners that will work with its services using its built-in location tracking capabilities.
This includes built-in discovery of luggage from brands like July and Mokobara, how to find lost skis with built-in peak integration, and new Bluetooth tags aimed at Pixbee’s families. Later this month, Android users will also be able to use Ultra-Width Band (UWB) technology to find Moto tags on Motorola.
The company says support for satellite-based discovery will be rolled out in the second half of 2025.
Google also announced an airline partnership that will help travelers track their luggage, following last year’s news that Apple has discovered my will to work with more than a dozen airlines. For Android users, new airline partners working with Google’s Find Hub include Aer Lingus, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Iberia and Singapore Airlines.
