According to Wall Street veteran and mathematician Fred Kruger, Bitcoin is still in its early days, with its prices poised for “very high returns” over the next two to three decades.
“We’re so quick,” Krueger said in an interview with the Jamie Tree Podcast. “We’re probably the beginning of a 20-year journey with very high returns. It’s going to be… 20 or 30 years. .”
Kruger dismissed the idea that Bitcoin is already at its peak, emphasizing that despite its rapid growth, it remains the “first inning” of its long-term trajectory. He compared it to major tech stocks like Apple and Amazon. There, even after an early surge, valuations continued to skyrocket.
“I owned Apple in 2008 and bought it when they first came out on the iPhone. The stocks doubled… and it doubled again And then, ‘Oh, I’m done, great trade’ and then it went up 50 times after,” he said.
Kruger follows the same pattern and urges investors to extend their time horizons. “This just works and it’s going to work,” he said. “The time frame needs to be extended to about 10 years.”
Retail investors have been a major driver of bull markets in the past, but Kruger believes the next major wave will be led by the institutional capital and wealthy individuals.
“If billionaires and billionaires decide to increase their exposure to Bitcoin from a negligible 0.01% to just 2%, that small adjustment could potentially unlock an avalanche of capital to Bitcoin.” He said. “There’s a lot of money in real estate, bonds and high stocks. They don’t have enough allocations.”
Krueger pointed out the recent launch of the Spot Bitcoin ETF as an important catalyst for mainstream adoption among the ultra-rich people. Previously, accessing Bitcoin required a crypto exchange opening account and dealing with complex independence solutions. Today, traditional investors can allocate to Bitcoin through financial products such as BlackRock’s IBit or Fidelity’s FBTC.
“All they need to do is allocate a very small amount to IBIT or FBTC and those guys are trying to clean up,” he said.
For those who still feel they may have missed it, Kruger said, “You’re very early on, under 1% of the rich have Bitcoin. There will be a lot of big profits.” I had one.
