The Super Bowl isn’t just about teams on the field.
The network’s graphics department is also a big game for companies seeking to promote their ads. This year, Fox continues its tradition of debuting a new look for the NFL at the Super Bowl.
The scoreboard, or commonly mentioned score bugs, was a time when broadcasters revealed the new look of the game and gave it a bigger feel.

Adding a background would probably help, but the distracting nature is highly desirable in this big game as well.
Needless to say, fans didn’t like the updates.
