Duggotlieb’s first season in Green Bay had no plans. In fact, Fox Sports Radio Host’s first season as a college basketball coach sparked a recent comment from one of the sport’s main voices, Lebron James.
James reposted a post from Gottlieb, previously known as Twitter, on Monday on X, but he didn’t support the former Oklahoma National Guard. James, who had 14.1 million viewers as of Wednesday, also had many laughing emojis.
“We won’t get a two win!” James wrote in a post showing Gottlieb and Green Bay had a 2-24 record. “But I have to give him credit!

Gottlieb, who coaches in Green Bay and hosts the “Dug Gottlieb Show” at Fox, responded to the comments with James’ latest radio appearance.
“I don’t think it’s good for someone either — you don’t have a break?” Gottlieb said of James. “Is there anything I should do? My answer is: Colin (the cowherd) told me a long time ago, “Don’t punch down, I’ll always punch up.” So I say to him. Talking about trash would technically punch him. And he, it’s punched down. So I don’t know. I don’t think pettiness and anxiety are limited to people who are very unsuccessful in their field. I think that’s my response.
“That doesn’t make sense. Why are you worried about me on President’s Day, Monday, when you spend your days off? I don’t know.”
Gottlieb later said: “I don’t even know what LeBron is responding to other than talking about Ish. Why? I didn’t think Bronnie should be a national of McDonald’s. That’s my job. is.
James’ Pierrogotto Leaves don’t come out of nowhere. Gottlieb is a harsh critic of James and his son Bronnie James, bouncing off the Los Angeles Lakers NBA and G-League teams as rookies this season.
Gottlieb has previously called James the “basketball parent.” He also said he’s not sure Bronnie James will start for Green Bay, and the 20-year-old security guard will not play point guard either.
Both sides appear to have decent points, but it does not diminish the fact that Gottlieb’s first season as a coach has become poor. Green Bay won Wright State in the first meeting game of season 79-68 on Saturday, improving to 3-24 of the season.
