Chipolo, the manufacturer of devices like Airtag, introduced the latest version of its product on Monday. Now, instead of offering a model that only works with either Apple or Google’s Lost Item Discovery technology, the new Chipolo Pop devices work with both companies from both companies’ Finding Networks Out.
By combining these different features into one device, Chipolo believes it will be easier for consumers to choose the device that suits their needs. Additionally, this will make Chipolo products better for Gifting, as buyers don’t need to know whether the recipient is using Android or iPhone, the company said.

Chipolo Devices is one of a handful of companies including Tile, Pebblebee and Samsung, and manufactures its own Airtag-like trackers.
Unlike Tile, which designed a discovery network that utilizes people who installed mobile apps, Chipolo has chosen to work with existing discovery networks provided by platform makers Apple and Google. (The tile arrived before Airtag, but competition with Apple ultimately led to a $205 million exit in 2021 when it was sold to Life360, a family locator service.)

To date, Chipolo has sold over 4.5 million devices. Following the launch of the first “Find My” compatible products, the Chipolo One Spot and the Chipolo Card Spot, we see an average of 30% growth per year.
In addition to supporting both Apple and Google’s Finding Network, the new Chipolo Pop includes other popular features from previous trackers, including the option to find missing phones by double pressure on tracker out-of-range alerts, the ability to change the ringtones of Chipolo, and the option to use the tracker as a remote selfie shutter.
The device’s Bluetooth range has also been extended to 300 Feett (90m), with the battery lasting up to a year and user-replicaable.
The new device is available in blue, black, green, red, white and yellow, and is available for $29 (£30/€35) on the Chipolo website and Amazon.
