Binance has joined forces with the Kyrgyz Republic’s national investment institutions through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote the growth of the region’s digital assets sector.
The announcement came at the first meeting of the Council on Development of Digital Assets, attended by Kyrgyz President Sadir Nurgo Tsevich Japarov.
The collaboration will introduce Binance pay in Kyrgyzstan, driving crypto-based payment solutions.
The move is expected to expand cross-border payment systems across Central Asia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
MOU also focuses on education initiatives supporting Binance Academy, which helps create educational programs.
These initiatives aim to strengthen the digital asset knowledge of government and financial institutions, strengthen financial literacy of the Kyrgyzstan masses, and support domestic Web3 projects.
Farhat Iminov, Director of the National Investment Bureau, said:
“Together, we aim to support the development of crypto assets, strengthen financial literacy and open new ways for cross-border payments, ultimately benefiting citizens and the wider regions.”
Binance Central Asia and Africa Cee Regional Head Kyrylo Khomiakov said:
“We look forward to working closely with partners at all levels of the Kyrgyz government to implement innovative solutions and education initiatives that empower individuals and institutions alike.”
Last month, Binance strengthened its Fiat Onramp ecosystem by collaborating with WorldPay to integrate Apple Pay and Google Pay.
The move allows users to purchase credit or debit cards linked to these digital wallets in cryptocurrency, thereby streamlining Binance’s Fiat-to-Clypto transaction process.
“Binance to bring crypto payments to Kyrgyz Republic” was originally created and published by Electronic Payments International, a brand owned by GlobalData.
