Shedeur Sanders is one of those people expected to draw consideration as the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
That said, the Colorado quarterback will be drafting, as evidenced by his response to his question about whether he will hold grumble if he is not selected first overall. I’m not overly worried when it’s done.
“Why am I mad?” Sanders responded in an interview with ESPN’s Kevin Clark at Super Bowl 59. “I think this way. These are good issues. I’m at the end of the day.”
Shedeur Sanders: Generation talent or generational hype? It’s exactly the same with the Colorado QB before the NFL Draft.
What’s important to Sanders? He is more interested in finding the right landing spot to begin his NFL career.

“It’s all about fit,” Sanders said. “No matter what situation you go, it’s not the best. That number really doesn’t matter. I’m not caught up in it.”
Sanders also told Clark he has a solid relationship with other players who are expected to go above the 2025 NFL Draft. This allowed the group to share information about some of their meetings and communications. He believes that they all reassure you when navigating the uncertainty of the first handful of picks.
Sanders talked a lot about Cam Ward. Come Ward believes each jockey will be the first quarterback to be selected. The two have a good personality relationship built on the garbage stories demonstrated in several training videos.
“It’s cool to be close by because if not, the media will definitely try to pin us down to each other,” Sanders said of his relationship with Ward. “We definitely play crazy and it’s just a relationship. It’s good to have something to do with us because a lot of people try to take things up and get them out of context.”
There’s time to see if Sanders and Ward leave the board first. In USA Today’s latest mock draft, Ward has Sanders on a single pick, the Cleveland Browns have overall picked Ward No. 2, and the New York Giants have chosen Sanders in third place.
