Adobe is taking part in the quest to attract users to the platform for AI needs. In April, the company launched a redesigned Firefly web app that allows users to use Adobe’s own Firefly image and video generation models, as well as third-party models.
Currently, you can release the Firefly app on both iOS and Android, and use all models and OpenAI (GPT Image Generation), Google (Imagen 3 and Veo 2), and Flux (Flux 1.1 Pro) models.
Like web apps, the new smartphone app allows you to use the prompts to generate images and videos, as well as convert images to video. You can also use generative fills to edit specific parts of the image, or expand the image with generative extensions. Adobe Creative Cloud subscribers can start projects in the Firefly Mobile app, save them to the cloud and access them via the web or desktop app.
The company currently supports more third-party models, including Kontext by Flux.1 Black Forest Labs, Ideogram 3.0, Ideogram 3.0, and Gen-4 images by runways.
The company is also updating Firefly Board, a collaborative whiteboard tool with the ability to generate videos. Canvas allows users to generate videos with Adobe’s own video models as well as video models created by competitors.
Adobe said users have used the Firefly model to date to create over 24 billion media assets, and AI capabilities are a major factor in increasing the number of 30% quarterly subscribers.
