“Grey’s Anatomy” actress Ellen Pompeo will star in a new Hulu series inspired by the story of Ukrainian orphan Natalia Grace Barnett.
“Good American Family,” which is scheduled to premiere on Hulu on March 19th, was inspired by “multiple stories, perspectives, threats, interpretations, and indictments.” Natalia, or her adopted family, is not directly mentioned in the show’s description, but the drama focuses on a “disturbing story” surrounding a Midwest couple adopting a young girl with a rare form of dwarfism I’m guessing it.

The adoptive parents in the series suspect the girl, like the Barnett family in Indiana.
In real life, Burnett’s parents claimed that Natalia was violent and mentally ill, plotted to kill the whole family, pretending to commit fraud.
The incident became a national sense around 2014 and soon became one of the strangest cases in the history of true crime. Natalia and Burnetts say that during the ongoing legal battle after parents legally changed Natalia’s age and placed her in a rental apartment while the rest of the family moved out of the country. It caught my eye.

Natalia’s story has become the focus of several television projects in recent years, including the Research Discovery documentary series The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, which premiered last month.
Here’s what you need to know about the new Hulu drama series “Good American Family,” which includes additional details about the show’s inspiration: Natalia Grace.
Who is Natalia Grace?
Natalia Grace Barnett is a Ukrainian orphan who was hired by Indiana couples Christine Elizabeth Barnett and Michael Barnett in 2010. The Burnetts believed that Natalia was six or seven years old when she first took her.
Natalia was diagnosed with spinal peritoneal dysplastic dysplastic disorder, a rare genetic disorder affecting bones and spine, resulting in height and other skeletal abnormalities.
The Burnetts claimed that Natalia was not the age reflected in her birth certificate, not until she brought her home. The couple not only claimed that Natalia’s genetic disorder made her look much younger than her, but she also condemned them and put their safety at risk due to her violent tendencies I insisted.

The doctors, DNA evidence, genetic experts, and Ukrainian women who claim to be Natalia’s biological mother, said that when Burnett contested Natalia’s age and their respective claims in their respective courtrooms, she was told that Called to help determine the age of the
In 2012, a Marion County judge called the birth record of Natalia Ukranians 22, as opposed to Natalia’s 11-year-old. Strong evidence to prove that it is not.
Burnetts later signed up to Natalia for public assistance and moved her to an apartment in Lafayette, Indiana in July 2013. The couple and other children moved to Canada. Natalia was kicked out of the apartment a year later, and the couple was hit with accusations of abandonment and several charges related to neglecting their dependents.
Barnett, who is currently divorced, has denied the claim and the charges have since been dismissed.

Where is Natalia Grace now?
Natalia is either about 21 or 34, depending on the record you refer to. In an exclusive interview with People Magazine last month, Natalia looked back on her second parents in the adoption, her new adoption family, forgiveness and her escape from her desire for the future.
“Looking back at my seven-year-old self, I was supposed to have been dead, so living today is a blessing,” Natalia told people.
Natalia is currently studying for her GED and dreams of becoming a teacher one day, people report.
She has learned to drive, and has repeatedly listened to Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus, planning future surgeries needed for her disability. Natalia also found love with her boyfriend Neil, according to people.
“Learn everything I have about how to live with my dwarfs. It was a great experience,” Natalia told people. “I love it. I mean, of course, I still miss my brother and everything. But I love it. I feel free.”
What is a “good American family”?
“Good American Family” is a story told from multiple perspectives, according to Hulu’s official logline, “as a way to explore issues of perspective, prejudice and trauma. The show’s descriptions include Natalia Grace and her previous ones. Although the adoptive family members did not directly mention the situation, the situation seems to serve as inspiration.
“This fascinating drama is inspired by the intrusive story surrounding a Midwest couple adopting a girl with a dwarf of unusual shapes. The show’s description is what she says is who she is. He begins to doubt that it may not be. “When they protect their families from their daughters, they protect them from their daughters who have grown to believe they are threats, she ultimately develops in a showdown that unfolds in court with the tabloids. He fights her own battle to stand up to her past and what her future holds.”
