“Originally it was going to be in the bedroom (Brady’s bedroom at the bar). (It) seemed like it was a little more planned out,” Hollingsworth told USA TODAY on a video call. “It felt more visceral, raw, and passionate to suddenly realize it in a bar.”
He continued: “I always talk about Brady and Brees like magnets. They’re always drawn to each other and if you get them close enough at some point, it’s undeniable. I hope it plays out in real time.” It felt more raw, more organic.”

“I don’t know. They haven’t told us anything and I’ve never seen the script,” Allen told USA TODAY. “We’re certainly getting a lot of feedback about what the world wants to see. “I hope that Bree can become more in tune with her inner being, find her footing again, and be able to claim what she truly wants in her heart and feel like she deserves it.” said Allen. “I think she needs to take a step back and get serious with herself so she doesn’t drive these boys to her inner turmoil. ”
Allen said season 6 was very much an identity crisis for “Bree”, more specifically a real battle between her heart and head.
“I think it comes from moving to Virgin River with a lot of trauma,” Allen said. “Before the sexual assault, she had a very strong sense of self.”
Bree, introduced in Season 3, had a successful career as a lawyer in Sacramento until she was sexually assaulted by her boyfriend and co-worker, Don.
“Even with this love triangle, it’s like her heart wants something but her head isn’t sure,” Allen added. “There’s an internal sense of disbelief.”
However, Allen believes Bree is on the road to recovery and “further along in her healing journey.”
“I like that the writers haven’t laid out a linear path to recovery. It’s not something we can tie up with a bow and move on from there,” Allen said. “My hope is that she will translate the healing she has achieved into the work she can do in the legal world and as an advocate for others who have dealt with sexual assault and violence in all its forms.”
Allen added that the writers worked closely with RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization, to stay true to that journey.
Meanwhile, the last time we saw Brady, he was all alone with an empty bank account after Lark snuck out of town with all his money.
“This is a typical thing that happens to Brady,” Hollingsworth laughed. “He always seems to find himself between a rock and a hard place.”
Hollingsworth is all for taking Brady on a revenge trip to track down Lark and get his money back, but other Virgin River characters, such as Virgin River’s fire chief Kaia (Candice McClure), and Brady’s I hope they will explore the relationship as well. Also his boss and local doctor, Dr. Vernon Mullins (Tim Matheson).
“I think it would be really cool for Doc and Brady to spend time together,” Hollingsworth said. “Doc has lived a very long life and Brady has never had much of an influence from an older father figure, so it might be cool to see an episode where the two of them are together.”
The two actors say they don’t know when the new season will be released, but they hope the new season will follow the same timeline as season 6, with filming in the spring and summer and ending during the holiday season at the end of the year. He said there was. .
