According to the App Store listing, Google’s Notebooklm Android and iOS apps are scheduled to be released on May 20th. Currently, the app is available for pre-order.
Since its launch in 2023, AI-based note-taking and research assistants are only accessible via the desktop. Google is currently preparing it to be available on the go.
NoteBookLM is designed to help students, experts and researchers better understand complex information through features such as the ability to ask questions about smart summaries and documents and other materials. The Research Assistant also generates AI podcasts called Audio Overviews, making it easy to digest complex topics.

According to screenshots in the app list, a dedicated app allows users to create new notebooks and view notes they have already created. You can also upload new sources from your device and view the sources you have already uploaded to each notebook. Plus, the app allows you to listen to an overview of audio generated on the go.
In addition to mobile, the app will be available on iPads and tablets, making the screens larger for multitasking.
You can choose to pre-order the app’s app or pre-register on Google Play. If you do so, the app will automatically download to your phone on May 20th.
Giant could potentially share more information about them at its annual meeting in a few weeks, given that the app is expected to be available on the first day of Google I/O.
