“Unleashing the Power of Crypto News” More than half of Telegram Group voters claimed they had taken smoking to deal with the unrest caused by the new tariffs that President Donald Trump cleaned.
In an April 3rd poll, he asked, “Did you develop the smoking habit due to stress because of Trump?” Of the more than 1,000 votes, 51% say yes.
It caused a dark flood of humor throughout the group. One user said, “I’m glad I’m not alone… I’m experiencing a pack of one day.” The message was caught quickly as the user shared a laugh about the absurdity.
The results have released a pour of reaction across the group, where market volatility and macroeconomic pressure are already hot topics.
Founded in 2017, Telegram Group has long been a heaven for Crypto fans. But this week it turned into a kind of digital smoking lounge – full of jokes, but rooted in real frustration.
Even 49% who voted “No” joined the joke as market volatility and macroeconomic fear weighed on traders.
Beneath the jokes there is serious concern. One member wrote, “Trump’s new tariffs will spark the biggest market selling since 2020, shake up investors’ trust and scream out the fear of a fresh trade war.”
After a strong finish in 2024 (after backed by Bitcoin ETF approval and rate reduction), the crypto market cooled sharply in 2025. Currently, Trump’s universal 10% tariffs are adding to the pressure.
At the time of writing, the total crypto market capitalization fell 5.37% over 24 hours to around $2.6 trillion. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and altcoin in particular, have been a hit as the global market is suffering more economically.
