Honda and its luxury brand Acura will be joining the growth list of automakers that provide access to Tesla’s supercharger network in North America.
Starting in June, owners of Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX electric car will be able to charge at Tesla stations. These EVs are built with CCS charging ports rather than Tesla’s technology. This means that Honda and Acura customers will need to purchase Honda-approved fast charging adapters from dealers. The automaker has not yet shared pricing details.
Honda said its owners of the Prologue and ZDX will be notified to the Honda Link and Acura EV apps if the adapters are available for purchase. The app also displays the location of the certified supercharger location.
Honda agreed to adopt Tesla’s charging standards in 2023. At the time, Honda said it would release a new EV model built with the NACS standard in 2025, but that goal was pushed over the course of a year.
The first model to feature a NACS port is the Acura RSX, which will be on the market in 2026. The model will be followed by the Honda 0 series model, which the brand introduced at CES 2025.
Other automakers with access to Tesla’s superchargers include Ford, General Motors, Mikiid, and Libian.
