The new season of “The Bachelorette” will not air this summer.
ABC has stopped production of its women-led “Bachelor” spinoff series, skipping the show cycle for the first time since 2007, Deadline first reported. The final three seasons of “The Bachelorette,” including the Jenn Tran season, aired in early July.
The ABC reality dating series has not been officially cancelled, but it was not immediately clear how long the break would last, or when the new “Bachelorette” season would debut on screen.
The decision to suspend will come about two weeks after the season 29 premiere of “The Bachelor,” starring Grant Ellis, who was in the Tran season (season 21) of “The Bachelorette.”
Other shows in the “Bachelor’s” universe were also paused or pushed back at each deadline due to competing schedules. “Bachelor of Paradise” had a location filmed in September 2024 for “The Golden Bachelorette,” but according to deadline it will be the next show in the Bachelor universe.

When was the last time “The Bachelorette” hiatus?
According to a report by Deadline, “The Bachelorette” recently took a break in 2007, but the show also didn’t air in 2006.
Who was the last “single”?

Tran, the “single” alumni in the show’s 22-year history and the first Asian American “single” lead, was the latest leading woman in the “Bachelorette.”
Tran’s “Bachelorette” Bio described the 27-year-old aspiring doctor assistant as “a sweet and caring woman who devoted her life to helping others.”
“The bilingual Vietnamese beauty currently lives in Miami and is ready to find love with a man as reliable and thoughtful as her,” reads Online Bio.
By the end of Tran’s historic season, Bachelor’s Fans and Tran himself thought they had found a match at 28-year-old Devin Strader. However, not everything was visible after the final rose ceremony in Hawaii.
Tran later revealed that Strader, who allegedly “denies having ever been in love,” ended his 15-minute phone involvement. On a lengthy Instagram posted a few days after the season was wrapped, Tran vowed to go high in her split.
“I always love someone I fell in love with, so I choose to make him the best on his life journey and always take root,” she wrote.
