The 97th Academy Awards are scheduled to take place in Los Angeles next month, and will celebrate the best 2024 films with the people behind them.
This year’s nominations for the ceremony were announced last month by the Motion Pictures Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science, and included a wide range of films ranging from the nearly four-hour historic drama The Brutalistist to “Fantasy Musical Blockbuster.” .
The pack leads in most nominations, Netflix’s crime musical “Emilia Pérez” has 13 Oscar nominations followed by “The Brutalist” and “Wicked”, both of which recorded 10 nods each.
Meanwhile, the biggest award of the night, the best picture is stacked with three pluses “Anora”, “Complete unknown”, “Conclave”, “I’m still here”, “Material”, “Dune: Part 2”, etc. The lineup features the Nickel Boys.

Where is Oscar?
The 97th Academy Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. According to the venue’s website, the awards ceremony took place at the theatre known as the Kodak Theater, which has been inside the Ovation Hollywood Shopping Centre since 2001.
Designed with the Academy Awards in mind, Hollywood’s cutting-edge theatres in mind, have seating capacity of 3,300.
Before the Dolby Theatre, the ceremony travelled between 1990 and 2001 between the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and the Civic Auditorium.
